Annual General Meeting  14 April 2021 via Zoom

Present:  Peter and Natalie Brown, Chris Newman, Cynthia Newman, Dave Shirt, Peter Oldridge, Lynda and Stephen Mead, Peter Hulme, Chris Boott, Tony Girling, Pat and Steve Owen, Jean Chapman, Richard Moseley, Cathy Jones.

All agreed and matters dealt with through the year. 

  • Matters arising
    • None.
  • Treasurer’s Report
    • Simple accounts, with few transactions. Nominal loss of £450, reflecting expenditure from Heritage Lottery Fund
    • Cash in bank: £1,020.73
    • Heritage Fund grant – monies spent on equipment and training
    • Audited by R. Ebrey
  • Secretary Report
    • Update provided on the year: 
    • Three committee meetings held and 3 quarterly meetings held.
    • Involvement in 2 Heritage Open Days,
    • Currently 70 people on the mailing list and 89 Facebook page followers.
  • Chairman’s Report
    • Update on meetings held, including Zoom talks.
    • Heritage Lottery Fund confirmed project satisfactorily completed
    • List of objectives, collections on line, oral histories to be collected
    • Commitment to add material to the site
    • Thanks to committee members for sharing expertise and materials.
    • Participation in Heritage Open Days
    • AHG members involved in Conservation Area Appraisal.
    • For all ages in all walks of life, make history interesting.
  • Annual Subscriptions:
    • Provide financial stability to the group
      • To build funds to keep website running for additional 3 years, after  first two years covered by Lottery grant.
      • To cover administration fees, public liability
      • To cover small ad hoc expenditure
      • To cover fees to Associations – Berkshire Local History association, free 6 months then £18 per year.
    • Subscriptions voluntary  for 20/21.
  • Election of officers and committee

All willing to stand again.
